Marlies Thomassen
Interior Architect
Marlies is an enterprising and accessible interior designer who designs work environments that surprise and connect. Her designs make the essence and identity of organizations palpable in the space: places where people feel comfortable and enjoy working (together).
After graduating as a genetic researcher, she worked for several years as a buyer at DSM. Nevertheless, she decided to change course and chose the profession of interior designer. With over ten years of experience, both in her own studio and at design firm Void, she has been part of Parella's design team with great enthusiasm since the end of 2025.
What drives Marlies is to continuously investigate how people use spaces and how this can be done smarter and better. As designer and true connector, she and the team bring different interests together and actively involve people in the process. Sustainability is a natural part of her work, with a focus on sustainable materials, design for disassembly and reuse. She also likes to get down to business, work hard and have an eye for detail as well as a positive vibe.
Marlies is convinced that strong office design contributes to achieving an organization's ambitions.
